Organizational Development for the Suez Governorate
Organizational Development for the Suez Governorate Headquarters and Related Entities
The project was initiated within the context of the cabinet initiative towards decentralization. One of the objectives of this initiative is empowering the role and capacity of different governorates to develop and execute their strategies. Suez Governorate is seeking to transform into an investment attraction point.
Such transformation depends on several elements, such as:
- Strategy and Strategy Execution: to have a clearly defined strategy that is communicated to different levels of the governorate staff. The staff daily operations are focused and aligned with the strategy. In addition, the governorate strategy is aligned with the government strategy issued and communicated by the cabinet.
- Organization Structure: to be re-built into a form that would support achieving the governorate strategy. As this is a governmental entity, the organization structure is governed by different laws and legislative regulations.
- Service Provision: changing the dominant culture of service provision from the traditional governmental mentality into a culture focusing on customer needs and satisfaction, and re-engineering the internal and external work processes to be based on customer satisfaction. In order to make the Suez Governorate an investment attraction point, the service provision processes were streamlined in order to support achieving the governorate strategy.
- Investment Environment: different elements of investment attraction were evaluated in order to develop an investment portfolio that could be used in promoting the governorate to potential investors.
